Making the Most of Your Property

Jason Lee has published his 2008 updated edition of Making Money out of Property in South Africa.  The book covers a wide field and includes legal advice.  It contains many useful and practical suggestions whether you are buying or have bought to sell or to let. 

He was assisted in the section on Property Tax by KPMG.  It deals with Transfer Duty, Stamp Duty, VAT, Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Tax Incentives.

We do not get paid to endorse the book but believe you should read it.  It is for the first time home owner as well as the seasoned property speculator or investor.  Pam Golding says of the book amongst other things that “..one is never to old to learn a few new tricks, which is why reading this book has been such a delight.”

The author clearly has a legal background but has a passion for earning income from property.  He explains that you do not need money to make money.  Then he assists one in preparing to make a case for financing and negotiating with the bank.

The use of trusts, companies, close corporations and property investment clubs in property transactions is explained in easy language.
