This beautiful exotic Jacaranda Mimosifolia has for many years been part of the premises on which our firm offices are situated. It is deciduous tree with striking lilac flowers. Although now regarded as an invader species in South Africa, it creates stunning lines of decorations in South African cities such as Pretoria (Gauteng Province) and Kimberley (Northern Cape Province). The tree is not so common in the Helderberg but forms a land mark above our logo signage in Audas Street, Somerset West. This photo was taken by our Office Manageress, Karen Barnard. We have adopted the photo as our corporate signage on web pages and e-mails. It was taken in 2008 when both our firm and the Constitutional Court were celebrating their 15th anniversaries. Sonja Labuschagne, our Constitutional Law expert, was quick to point out that the firm logo under the tree reminds one of the Constitutional Court architecture and symbolism depicting JUSTICE UNDER A TREE. View some photo's of the Constitutional Court and read about the Justice Under a Tree design winners here. |
